Fabrizio Galli (Viareggio, 23-6-1962) is one of the most innovative and daring master builders of wagons of the Carnival of Viareggio.. He is son of art and he learn to shape the papier mâché in the hangar of his father when he was still a child.
From 1987 until today, his magnificent floats paraded in Passeggiata and they have been celebrated and admired by thousands of people. Over the years, the Fabrizio Galli's floats have won many important placings and they helped to write the history of the Carnival of Viareggio."Hell Saturday Night" (1991), the Pope of the spectacular " Peace be with you "in 2002, " Pandora's box "of 2007 just to mention a few.
Fabrizio Galli was one of the first manufacturers to look beyond the Carnival. He collaborated with the designer Enrico Coveri, he realized the Fontana dei Putti for the Opera at Versailles and, more recently, the big bath fot Alex Britti's tour.
In 1999 he created the Eden-size theater for the movie "On the Beach and beyond the pier," a novel by Mario Tobin. He also realized many works signed for the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago and f the crucifix for the pastoral visit of Pope Wojtyla in Brescia. A complete artist who can adapt his art in every situation, ranging from the sacred to the profane.
He was the first president of the Arca (the consortium of manufacturers of the Carnival of Viareggio) and recently Fabrizio Galli and another group of charioteers built 24 papier-mâché statues representing the ideal team for the Museum of the Football Stadium Meazza.
After having been Vice President (since 2007) has also become president of the Builders, the "union" that brings together almost all the manufacturers.
In 1996 he took part in Honey, eroticism Great Art Exhibition in Viareggio,producing 4 erotic sculptures of life-size women named ASIA and the beautiful scenery of entry.
In 2006 he participated in the art exhibition "Beyond the Mask" dedicated to the masters of papier mache.
In 2007 he started to realizer the exterior towers of the Citadel of the Carnival.
