The realization

After many research, the artist is taking action. First step: to built the body. And what could be better than a real man? For this reason a molded posed for hours in front of a sculptor. The work has been detailed and difficult but done with an extraordinary passion . Starting from the studies and sculptures of the greats of the past, Fabrizio Galli has created seven impressive bodies in classic style Every statue has different measures depending on the perspective. In fact, the statues are placed outside of the city of Carnival on 7 stands 8 meters high and changing the point of view also changes the vision of the statue.

The internal structure was created in stainless steel and then it was coated with acrylic fiberglass and painted with water enamel.

The head is smaller than the mask to give to the latter greater prominence. The face is a sculpted skull with only the facial features: eyes, nose and mouth. Every face recall a detail of the population it represents: the fleshy lips of the African, the lines of the Indian chief, the stretched eye of the Chinese, the Asian's seren expression.

Undisputed queen of the whole work is the mask. Perfect reproductions of the originals, they have been carved in every detail by the skilled hands of a great artist and teacher. At the time of placing the mask on the body everyone had the proof of the high artistic quality of Fabrizio Galli's creation. It's an impressive and spiritual work that represents the Carnival's origin. The artwork will be expanded with as many statues in order to extend the range of cultur to get in touch with.
